John Lennon Rubber Soul (The Beatles) Suede Jacket

This is my 4th Leathercult jacket purchase. Like the others I?ve received, this jacket was expertly made to my exact measurement specs including customized bemburg lining and decorative stitching thread (we went with a copperish color rather than the default white / cream color. This jacket is unlike other suede jackets I?ve worn in that it is super lightweight for year ?round wear, but it?s not so fitted that I can?t layer under it for cooler weather. The tobacco suede is the perfect shade to go with the antique brass snaps (and the aforementioned custom copper decorative stitching). The interior and exterior pockets are generally sized to hold all your tech gear. Note that due to the lightness of the jacket, there are no hand warmer pockets (or the fabric would not drape properly?these really aren?t needed anyway). As to the style, it really captures the ?trucker-jacket-with-military-epaulettes? look of the mid-sixties folkie style. Not just John Lennon wearing it with black turtleneck, black boots & denim jeans, but also as worn in the same period in old pics of Keith Richards & Steve Marriott (in burgundy), Chris Hillman & Chad Stuart (in tobacco). This is a really great jacket for that look and I?m tempted to order another in a custom burgundy if that?s an option.
